allyconner  > Vacation > MONTANA!!!!
It's a rough life when work sends you to Montana and you have a friend in Big Sky and you get to go out three days early to get some early season snowboarding in! I had a blast hanging out in the beautiful house that Derek was house sitting. We got some good turns in on the mountain, too. Once I got over the 24 hour bug I was good to go. I had a great time riding at Big Sky. Montana is just gorgeous. I could handle living there for sure.

allyconner > These are the decorations hanging in the intersections in Bozeman. They look like Christmas Tree octopuses...I had to look at it for a moment to figure out what it was. There was a red, green, gold, and blue one. You can see the street signs in the flash and the red stop light on the left. These were in mid-air. Pretty spectacular!
allyconner > They were blowin snow for the terrain park. These don't look super huge but they were. The hills are almost has high as the snowblowers - at least 15 feet high. This is going up the Ramcharger lift.
allyconner > This is a picture from the Ramcharger lift of Lone Peak - the one on the left. Fan Mountain is on the right. In between the two where it's shaded is The Bowl. We spent a lot of time up there. There were some nice, powdery, steep runs.

allyconner > The view behind me from Lone Peak. The terrain park to be is in the lower left corner of the picture. The Mountain Village is just behind the trees on the right side of the picture. You can see condos way in the distance on the left side of the pic.
allyconner > They've been pushing snow up the mountain and making more on top of it. I like how the tracks disappear into the mountain of snow. See those powder turns on the left side of the pic!!
allyconner > This is the bottom of the previous picture.
allyconner > This is the view you get as you drive into Big Sky Ski Resort. Lone Peak is pretty breathtaking. It's at 11,166 feet. The Mountain Village base is 7,500 feet.
allyconner > My self-portrait with Lone Peak. I was in the middle of the road. I kept checking for cars which is why I couldn't get a better shot. Eventually one came and of the three shots I got this one was somewhat decent.
