Jake came up with an awesome idea to fill up a weekend in August. The only thing that runs is the UY on Saturdays so a big group of us did that and then several of us drove to WV and camped out. We got to see a really cool meteor shower with lots of shooting stars. We even saw some with really long tails. It was way cool. We had some camping neighbors that felt pity on us and brought us over a bag of charcoal to get our fire started and then they proceeded to bring over a cauldron of hot burning logs to get our bonfire going. It looked like something out of a movie.
Then on Sunday, we went to Nelson Rocks to do the Via Ferrata. It's sort of like rock climbing but more like traversing a rock while being clipped in. Look it up on Wikipedia and it will make more sense. Anyhoo - me, Jake, Brad, Lucius, and Tyler did the VF while Patrick hiked around the area. It was a way cool thing to do on a Sunday. The weather was perfect and the views were fantastic. We got to cross a wooden bridge that was 200 feet long, 150 feet high, and had a foot of space in between each board you stopped on. You had to look down to make sure you didn't fall through. It was crazy but tons of fun.
That's me leading the pack - climbing the rocks
